Fill a large bowl with water. Pour the strawberries into the water and add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar to the bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, rinse the strawberries with cold water. Remove the strawberries from the water and place them on a dry kitchen towel. Dry them completely.
Cut the top off the strawberries and cut them in a half. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer. Freeze the strawberries for 4-5 hours until they are completely frozen solid.
Remove the strawberries from the parchment paper and place them in an airtight container or a gallon sized Ziploc bag for up to 3 months.
- If you prefer to freeze the strawberries whole, simple remove the stem and freeze the strawberries on the parchment lined baking sheet.
- Make sure to wash the strawberries well before freezing them.
- Use these strawberries in smoothies, overnight oats, chia seed puddings, or your favorite strawberry recipes.
- Defrost them in the refrigerator, but if you are using them in smoothies, you do not have to defrost them first.
