- Make sure to use fruit at peak ripeness! If you have some fruit at peak ripeness, freeze it so you can make this smoothie any time of the year. Frozen fruit in the frozen section of your grocery store is often frozen at peak ripeness so it is a great choice for smoothies.
- Sometimes, mangoes and pineapple might not be as sweet as you would like. If that's the case, feel free to add some maple syrup, agave syrup, or honey to the blender. Give it a taste and adjust the sweetness.
- You can use fresh or frozen pineapple for this smoothie and fresh or frozen mango. Cutting a pineapple can be a little tricky, so be sure to check out my how to cut a pineapple post for step by step instructions.
- Add ice cubes to the smoothie is you are not using any frozen fruit. The ice cubes will make the smoothie a little thicker. If you prefer a thinner smoothie, leave out the ice cubes or only add a few cubes.
- This smoothie makes one large smoothie or two small smoothies. You can easily double or triple this recipe to make more or to use it for meal prep.
