This Oreo dip is such a simple and satisfying treat that it’s become a go-to for our family gatherings and parties! The next time you need a crowd-pleasing, no-fuss dessert, give this Oreo Dip a try!
Be sure to serve my cookie dough dip, peanut butter cheesecake dip, or cannoli dip with this Oreo dip too!

We always have a package of Oreos in my pantry! I make Oreo milkshakes without ice cream all the time for dessert and when we have a party, I make this dip! We love this creamy, sweet, and crunchy dip because it’s the perfect blend of cookies and cream. Whether we’re dipping fruit, graham crackers, or pretzels, it disappears fast!
It’s super easy to make, takes just a handful of ingredients, and there’s no need to turn on the oven, my favorite kind of recipe! And who doesn’t love Oreos?
Ingredients to Make Oreo Dip

- Cream cheese. It should be softened to room temperature to make it easier to blend into the dip.
- Powdered sugar. To sweeten the dip. Powdered sugar mixes beautifully into the dip without leaving the dip grainy like granulated sugar would.
- Whipped topping. I know I know, it's controversial! If you don't want to use whipped topping, make your own homemade whipped cream and add it to the mixture.
- Oreos. To make this even more decadent, use double stuffed Oreos! Regular Oreos will work too. You'll want about 15 of them.

Substitutions and Variations
You can get creative with Oreo Dip by adding fun twists:
- Peanut butter Oreo dip. Give me all things peanut butter! Add 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter for a delicious nutty flavor like in my peanut butter mousse.
- Mint Oreo dip. Use mint-flavored Oreos and add a drop of peppermint extract for a refreshing, holiday-ready version and serve it with a mint chocolate chip milkshake.
- Birthday cake Oreo dip. Use birthday cake-flavored Oreos and add colorful sprinkles for a fun, festive vibe!
- Change the Oreos! Like in the variations above, just use your favorite Oreos to change the flavor.
How To Make Oreo Dip
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese. Use an electric mixer or in a stand mixer and mix until smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Slowly mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Step 3: Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy. A rubber spatula or a wooden spoon is great for mixing.
Step 4: Mix in the crushed Oreos, leaving a few larger chunks for texture. Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle extra crushed Oreos on top.

Lynn's Tip!
Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature. This will make sure that it will easily be mixed into the Oreo dip.
What To Dip in Oreo Dip
This dip is a delicious dessert dip, perfect for all kinds of dippers! Here are some of our favorites, but get creative and use what you have!
- Graham crackers. Or you could use broken waffle cones like I like to dip in my cookie dough dip.
- Pretzels. For that classic sweet and salty combo.
- Apple slices. After apple picking, we always have a ton of apples! Cut them into slices and it's a great after school snack.
- Strawberries. This would be perfect over Valentine's Day for a fun dip for the kids!
- Vanilla wafers. If you've got some extra from making a banana pudding, use them to dip into this Oreo dip!

Storage Instructions
If you want to get ahead of the game, Oreo Dip is easy to make in advance. Simply prepare the dip as noted above, transfer it to an airtight container, and store it in the fridge for up to 2 days. Before serving, give it a quick stir and add some freshly crushed Oreos on top for extra crunch!
Frequently Asked Questions
I wouldn't recommend freezing this dip because the texture of the cream cheese and whipped topping can change once thawed, making it less creamy and a little grainy.
Oreo Dip will stay fresh in the fridge for about 2-3 days. Just be sure to store it in an airtight container and give it a stir before serving to freshen it up.
I wouldn't recommend it. Low fat cream cheese tends to be more watery and can change the texture and flavor of the dip. This is a dessert dip, go for the good stuff and use the full fat cream cheese!
