Ingredients to Gather
You only need a few simple ingredients to make this recipe!
- Berries. We will be using both blueberries and raspberries. There's nothing better than berries in smoothies! I love making a blueberry smoothie or a raspberry smoothie, why not combine them and make one delicious smoothie!
- Milk. Almond milk is what we will be using in this smoothie, but whole milk, soy milk, or your favorite nondairy milk will work. You can even use orange juice or your favorite juice if you prefer.
- Greek yogurt. This helps make the smoothie more filling. Feel free to use your favorite Greek yogurt flavor. You can often find blueberry yogurt, strawberry yogurt, vanilla yogurt, or even plain yogurt.

Substitutions and Variations
- Add greens! Spinach or kale are really common in smoothies. I find that you need to have a high speed blender when adding spinach or kale to the smoothie. No one wants chunks of leaves in their smoothie. That would be like drinking a salad. A high speed blender makes sure that the smoothie is really smooth.
- Add more protein! This smoothie has Greek yogurt in it, but you can add protein powder if you would like for a meal replacement or an after workout snack.
- Add some seeds! Chia seeds, hemp seeds, or flax seeds are all common to add to smoothies. They add some extra nutrition to your smoothie.
- Add nut butter! Almond butter or peanut butter would be delicious in this smoothie! It would be like a peanut butter and jelly smoothie.
- Add more fruit! You can add banana, peaches, mango, pineapple, or more berries to this smoothie. It's versatile, so blend it to your liking!
How To Make a Blueberry Raspberry Smoothie
Step 1: Add the blueberries to a high speed blender. Make sure the berries are washed well before adding them to the blender.
Step 2: Add the raspberries to the blender.
Step 3: Pour the Greek yogurt into the blender. If you are using a sweetener, you can add it now.
Step 4: Pour the milk into the blender and blend for 2 minutes or until the smoothie is your desired consistency.
Lynn's Tip!
To make this smoothie thicker, add more ice cubes. To make it thinner, add more milk.
Tips and Tricks
- If you are using only fresh fruit, add more ice cubes. When available, frozen fruit is a great choice for smoothies because it helps make it thick and creamy.
- This smoothie makes great popsicles too! Pour the smoothie into your favorite popsicle mold and freeze for 3-4 hours until the popsicles are hardened.
- To make this recipe completely dairy free, use a nondairy Greek yogurt or your favorite coconut yogurt or almond milk yogurt.
Make Ahead Tips
Smoothies are best made and then enjoyed. They don't last well when they are made ahead of time. If you do need to make it ahead of time, make it and then pour it into a mason jar. Cover and place the mason jar in the refrigerator. When you are ready to enjoy it, shake the smoothie or add it back to the blender with a few ice cubes. Blend for a minute or two and enjoy.
Smoothies are great to freeze too! Freeze them in a freezer safe container. Defrost them in the refrigerator and then pour it into a blender and blend for a minute or two. You can also freeze the smoothie in an ice cube tray and then place the ice cubes in the blender with some milk.
