Full of tangy and sweet berries, this Strawberry Blueberry Smoothie is ready in only a few minutes and with only a few ingredients! It's fruity, creamy, and a must make as a snack or a drink for your breakfast!
If you love strawberry, make sure you try my strawberry vanilla milkshake too!
Every Summer I take the kids to a local farm and we pick blueberries and strawberries. Blueberries are a little later in the Summer, and strawberries are a little earlier in the Summer. When the kids are starting to get a little stir crazy, I always take them berry picking.
It's great because my kids eat the berries right off the bushes! If I were to give them a berry out of the refrigerator I'm sure they would fight me on it, but at a farm, they are eating tons of berries! We also then have a huge amount of berries that I need to figure out what to do with. Smoothies to the rescue!
This smoothie is light and tangy, so it won't weigh you down! Just like my blueberry smoothie and my blackberry strawberry smoothie, it's loaded with nutrition, and it's easy to make!
Ingredients to Gather
- Strawberries. This smoothie is a great place to use fresh strawberries, but you can also use frozen strawberries too. If you have some fresh strawberries that are starting to look a little old, just freeze your strawberries. You'll then have them any time to add to your favorite smoothies.
- Blueberries. We are lucky enough to have wild Maine blueberries in our lake house in Maine, and I love using them in this recipe. You can use your favorite fresh or frozen blueberries in this recipe.
- Yogurt. Yogurt amps up the protein in this smoothie. You can use your favorite Greek yogurt from your grocery store. Plain, vanilla, or a berry yogurt are all great options.
- Milk. Almond milk is my favorite milk to use in smoothies. It keeps the smoothie light and creamy. Use your favorite milk here. You can use almond milk, whole milk, soy milk, or your favorite nondairy milk. Orange juice or coconut water are great options too.

What Can I Add to My Smoothie?
- Bananas. Bananas add natural sweetness and creaminess to smoothies like this one. They will also add some thickness to the smoothie.
- Spinach or kale. Leafy greens like spinach or kale are great for adding nutrients like vitamins A, C, and K, as well as fiber, without affecting the flavor too much.
- Protein powder. For an extra protein boost, you can add a scoop of your favorite protein powder, such as whey, pea protein, or soy protein.
- Oats. Rolled oats can add thickness to the smoothie and will help keep you feeling full.
- Nut butter. Peanut butter, almond butter, or cashew butter can add richness and a nutty flavor to the smoothie. It will be a peanut butter and jelly type smoothie!
- Flaxseeds or chia seeds. They can also add thickness to the smoothie and a bump of nutrition.
- Honey or maple syrup. If your berries are a little more tart, add some sweetness.
